Why were conservatives for state anti-sodomy laws ONLY five years ago?

Q: Five years ago, anti-sodomy laws were struck down by the supreme court. How come conservatives were against this court decision? THIS IS THE CASE IN QUESTION http://www.law.duke.edu/publiclaw/supremecourtonline/commentary/lawvtex.html

A: Because conservative Republicans get off on the feeling of doing something naughty that they might get in trouble for just as much as they get off on their "wide-stance toe-tapping" in public toilets in airports in the midwest. Making it illegal just makes it more exciting!
