Q: Should a guilty person be released from prison if it is discovered that there were corrupt circumstances behind how they were sentenced; such as planted evidence, or illegally obtained evidence, or having a witness lie? Even though a person might be dead on guilty should they be released for the errors of the system?
A: Yes. That's the way the law works. As they say, rules is rules.
