Renters Rights owner selling complex?

Q: Hi I have something going on. Last February, I moved into my apartment and signed a year lease : I live in Texas. Now the property owner is trying to sell these apartments. I need to know my renters rights as far as, how much notice he has to give: if he is liable for moving expenses , lost time, from work, moving truck rental and deposits, etc, I have a lease but I need some advice > Thanks Everyone, love this service !!

A: your lease stays with the property - the new owner is obligated to honor it until it ends. the old owner may offer you incentives to renegotiate the terms of the lease, but you are under no obligation to accept any offer. If you want to accept, then the price is what you will settle for. No minimum, no maximum. Do know that the property is more valuable in a sale if there are no tenants, and that increase is not necessarily ties to your moving expenses. If you *won't* move, then he could lose *a lot* more then that in sales price.
