i have a CDROM with data burnt in 1999. how can i validate the data/date on CDROM for patent purpose.?

Q: basically, i want to get the CD-ROM data notarized/validated for the content of the cd-rom and the date when it was burnt. i will use this to claim that part of the concept was developed in 1999. thanks in advance.

A: As far as the US Patent office is concerned, the date you bring that CD in is the earliest verifiable date of your concepts existence as files are very easy to manipulate and therefore cannot be relied upon for legal purposes. Unless you have notarized documents from 1999 they will most likely not accept that as the date of origin.
