Q: I gave my employer my two weeks notice " I had been working for them and just getting tired of practically doing everything. Instead of working the last 2 weeks, they have decided for me not to come back. They have no intentions on paying me for my 2 weeks. Yes we do have a contract between us. What should I do?
A: Email a complaint directly to: The state labor board The local/nearest FBI office The Federal Trade Commission The Department of Justice The local IRS office and the national office the head of the city and state Chambers of Commerce, as well as anyone who sits on the the Chamber's Board any regulatory agency which oversees the industry your employer operates in Any trade organizations your employer belongs to Any unions your employer has a relationship with, even if you aren't in the union- contact the shop steward, the chapter president and the national organization Contact the individual members of the city council in which your company does business The Governor's office The Secretary of State's office Your State Senator Your State Representative Your Congressional Senator Your Congressman The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (if you are a woman, non-white, a veteran, gay, disabled in any way and/or over the age of 50, they are screwed) The clergy at the church to which your employer belongs With the wonders of the Internet, you can contact all the above within a few minutes. Make sure you carbon copy your former employer on every email. Then, send your employer an email that you are willing to pursue your complaints against them unless you get your 2 weeks pay. WHEN you get your pay, email everyone, telling them the matter has been resolved and you rescind your initial complaint and carbon copy your former employer.
