Q: I am sick and tired of hearing how we (anti-immigration) are too hard on illegal immigrants. Why is it that some tax paying americans see illegal immigration as a good thing? Can anyone give me a good answer?
A: Most supporters have their reasons for the support of illegal immigration. 1. They are big business. They love it because it not only allows them to hire people at slave wages it also drives down the wages of millions of Americans. These greedy people get to pocket the difference. 2. They are greedy politicians. they either get huge contributions from big business (see above) or they hope that the millions of illegals will one day be able to vote for their party. 3. They know a illegal and want them to be able to come here. They place their personal emotions ahead of the welfare of the country and could care less that by allowing that one person they want in they also allow 20 million others. 4. They can make money from this issue in some other way. Think of LaRaza and other open borders immigration groups. 5. They are mistakenly led to believe that it is the humanitarian thing to do. Nothing could be further from the truth. The world has 7 billion people - at least 4 billion would love to come here and are far worse off then the average illegal. Of course the few million we take in has NO EFFECT on global suffering or overpopulation. 6. They are stupid and fall into the outdated notion that we are a country of immigrants so we MUST continue that legacy even if it is proven to harm the countries future and our standard of living. These are the same types of people who had a hard time understanding why we should stop being a slave trading nation. Things change and you have to change with them!
