FYI - last time I was in Mexico the locals where talking to me in English, maybe because they didn't think I knew Spanish. I went to the local resaurant.....and guess what? it was in English, and American beers were on the menu to...WOW! opinionsearcher, True! and great information by the way! but one thing is having to study and language in High School, and another is wanting to study and learn it as an adult when we have more choices on what we want to study or not? A: I totally agree! Pretty much everywhere else in the world folks speak more than one language, why not here? I actually know a couple who moved to Mexico for awhile who refused to learn Spanish, it was too much work. Then they had the nerve to complain when the locals couldn't understand English! Sheesh! "ron burgundy" when you learn to appropriately use English grammar and punctuation, please feel free to criticize others for not doing so. Until then, I suggest you attend a remedial English course!
