Universal Health Care? ?

Q: Ok, so after watching a documentary and much discussion with my husband, and curious to hear from all stand points what you feel about Universal health care. Would you rather pay a higher tax and have all your health care, dental care, nursing care covered, you do not have to pay a cent? or would you rather send the money to HMO or PPO or any health insurance and see your money be wasted, especially if you are healthy and never use it but a few times a year? I would really like opinions on this one? Trins-well whatever you screen name is.. Have you watch the documentary called SICKO?? well just watching that you will see that you have bought into the scare tactics that our government wants you to believe. Do you know that the insurance companies and the drug companies have bought out all of our legislative people.. Therefore they are making laws to profit these companies. GO to Canada and all other countries and ask them how they feel about the Universal Health care, and all of them will tell you how happy they are that they do not have to pay. Seriously if you don't believe me than go to Surfthechannel.com and watch this documentary.. Oh, and those Doctors in countries that have this are making enough money.. and they are happy that they do not have to turn any one down because they can not pay. You ask these doctor's if they would work in a system where they had to turn people down cause they would not pay and they would undoubtedly say NO WAY. I guess these other countries have more morals than the doctors in our countries...

A: personally i'd rather have taxes a little higher and have universal coverage. it is much easier to pay little by little than to be slammed with big bills, high deductables, poor coverage, and fight with insurance when they try to get away with not paying claims. the high premiums for my coverage are pretty much pointless when i have about $1000 worth of medical bills sitting on my desk right now as i type this.
