Q: I'm curious, it may seem dumb, but I'm really curious. Would our country be in the shape it is now had the attacks NOT occurred? Did September 11th cause, help, or not even affect our economy's current situation? I'm curious. Please provide some thought, or fact, into your answer. Thanks a lot! By 'help' I mean hurt.
A: The attack did hurt the economy to the degree that the airlines and other transportation groups could not move like they used to. More checks were put into place to try to safe guard the country. We were just about to get over the internet bust when the attacks happened. Combined this put greater hurt to the economy. Had the attack not happened yes the country would have been in much better shape. Because of the attacks and the war plus the internet bust combined this has hurt all.
