A: Yes it does but you can't really blame the media for it. If the public would demand a different kind of coverage by only watching networks that provided a well rounded dose of ALL the candidates or simply refused to watch political news and got their info from trusted web sites, the media would quickly adapt. Since most of the voters in the US want to be "spoon fed" instead of doing even the slightest research though, the media will take full advantage of it.
