Q: Could you work for an american magazine whilst living in the uk (being a british citizen) without a visa? but who do i pay taxes on my earnings to? just the uk? but if it it a us company that pays me? also - if i go over maybe three times a year to meet with my editor, for less than a week each time, does that count as 'working?'
A: you need a literary agent. They can get the money from the USA agent and then they pay you. So you only pay taxes in UK.
