Q: Do you even know who your Senators are? What about your Representative? And even then, do you know how to get in touch with them? We ask very good questions, but do we pose these questions to the people that represent us in Washington? The 1st Amendment ensures our right to ask these questions, and have them answered by our elected officials.
A: Because my Representative is too busy trying to straighten out her finances after having multiple houses in foreclosure due to her political aspirations. The last thing she has time for is a constituent's questions. I do email on of my Senators on occasion with concerns. Sometimes I even hear back. And, although I generally disagree with her politically, I do appreciate her response. The other person who is technically my Senator does not represent the citizens of my state, she represents the Democratic Party.
