Q:
A: There is absolutely no reason NOT to have a paper trail! The only reason to object would be if you want to manipulate the vote. I work for a non-partisan group that fights for anyone's right to vote. The voting fraud and irregularities is appalling. The movie recount relays many of the problems we are faced with. Everyone should be concerned that our votes will count. What excuse could you possibly use to vote against a paper trail? Do you not want your vote to count? The only other reason to be against the paper trail would be if you know your party is going to manipulate the vote. There has been testimony to Congress that Tom Feeney had his subordinate create software to manipulate the vote: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=... http://www.bradblog.com/?page_id=4454 The Republicans have done this in the past: And they will do it in the future: http://www.bradblog.com/?p=6378 http://www.bradblog.com/?p=6372 So why was it you do not want paper trails? The Republicans should be ashamed. It will show why there is a need for a paper trail! We also have to insist that if there is a need for a recount that the count continues until they are finished! We do not need the Supreme Court anointing another President. Look how well that turned out last time. If the people's voice were heard, we quite likely would not be in the trouble we are in economically because Gore would still be in office.
